This is great! I’ll be reading A Tale of Two Cities, Great Expectations, and David Copperfield in February, hopefully. I’ve read Oliver Twist and A Christmas Carol. Have fun!
Cool! I know I’m getting A Tale of Two Cities and David Copperfield for Christmas so I think I’ll be starting with those two as well 😀
My goodness, that is ambitious. I do better working my way through Dickens slowly, between other reads, but I plan to read The Old Curiosity shop early next year and maybe another next winter. I’ll be interested to follow your progress.
Yes, I think it is highly unlikely I’ll get through them all in a year, but I definitely want to make a big dent into his novels next year. I know what you mean, it’d be a bit much to read them one after another. Looking forward to hearing what you think about The Old Curiosity Shop, I like the sound of that one.
Wow, very admirable! I only plan to read one Dickens, maybe two. He’s not my favorite, but I still want to honor him.
I didn’t realize that next year was his 200th birthday! I’m planning to read Bleak House, so I guess I timed that better than I had realized. Have fun with all your Dickens reading!
Thank you, and enjoy Bleak House, its brilliant!
I’m planning on reading his major works as well! I want to get through the final titles of my Virginia Woolf major works challenge (hopefully in coming weeks), then in 2012 I plan on starting Dickens. Looking forward to following your progress 🙂
Ooh brilliant, I shall be following your progress too! 😀
Glad you are enjoying his work. You may find this of interest…….
